Has Your Dental Practice Staff Got Into a Rut? Perfect Timing for Professional Development

We all get into a rut now and then. You know how it goes—you work hard, you reach a goal or objective, you begin to practice the skills in that goal or objective, and unless you set another goal to work toward at the same time, you can easily wind up in a rut!
Doing the same thing over and over again can be mind-numbing. It can also keep your dental practice stalled at a certain level, which will reflect in lowered practice growth and fewer new dental patients.
Learning new skills, researchers tell us, is the best way to keep our minds sharp and avoid the mental lapses many people experience with advancing years. So, learning new dental skills will do the same thing for your dental practice!
No one is suggesting that you attend classes, seminars and workshops to advance your skills all the time—that could take away from your practice. But keeping ongoing professional development on your goal list will not only increase and polish the skills you have, it will help you acquire new ones as well. And that’s the best way to stay out of a rut!
